The river still has plenty of water and has not dropped to normal flow rates. I suspect the Bow will begin drop soon which will continue to improve the dry fly fishing. Stoneflies are providing some good dry fly episodes, but rising fish is spotty with the high water. Nymphs are working well, stoneflies and small beheads are producing some reel knuckle dusters, a hot Bow river trout are a breed of their own, lots fun!!!!

A nice rainbow that eat a stone fly.

The Bow has settled and fishing in now getting good.Still plenty of water in the system but it will begin to drop as the forecast calls sun and hotter weather, 30C on Tuesday July 23rd, maybe the first day this year we have had 30C. Oh well the fish are happy which is always a good thing. Streamer fishing has been good and nymphing is productive. We have began to see some dry fly action and as the river drops this should improve and the trout will look up. Plenty of caddis in the evening, some PMD's and the Stoneflies are migrating in places.. Finally, the Bow is ready to fish.... Tightlines
